Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheted objects, generally animals.

I don't crochet, I knit -- and so http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTnorberta.html is one of my favorite patterns in the world. I LOVE knitting little stuffies for holiday presents; this particular pattern knits up in about a week.

Crochet is really easy to pick up if you knit. I learned to knit first, then got a book and learned to crochet myself.

The dragon stole I mentioned in the other thread was loosely based on Knitty's Vegan Fox Stole. I decided to crochet it because I thought it would look more like scales, but Mirawyn's was knitted.
